Nepathya performs in Butwal

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 26: Residents of Butwal on Saturday spectacularly welcomed the folk-rock musical band Nepathya.Issuing a press statement on Sunday, Nepalaya, which has been managing the Nepathya’s concert, informed that the band that has been touring the country with a huge team for its 'Music for Humanity' campaign had their eighth performance at Ramnagar Play Ground. Earlier, the band had performed in Biratnagar, Birgunj, Hetauda, Chitwan, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi and Surkhet. 

 Like in Surkhet, the band began the concert with the popular song Aanganai Bhari. This song was the first composition of Nepathya. Nepathya also performed their hits like Bheda Ko Oon Jasto, Chekyo, Lampate Surati, Chari Maryo, Jomsome Bazaar and Min Pachas Ma, Gaun Baat Utha.

The musical band is collaborating with the Manavsewa Ashram, a non-profit organisation. When the 70-member team was arriving in Butwal from Birendranagar Surkhet, the members of the band were welcomed by Butwal Sub-Metropolitan Mayor Khelraj Pandey and Deputy mayor Sabitra Devi Aryal at the door of the hotel with garlands.

"It will be incomplete to understand Nepathya only in terms of entertainment," Mayor Pandey said in the official ceremony after the event, "This band is also a warrior of our Nepali identity and culture."After the completion of the concert, the band left for Pokhara. The team is scheduled to hold a concert in Pokhara on December 27.
