BY DIWAKAR POKHREL,Deukhuri, Dec. 24: After the office of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers was shifted to the permanent capital of Lumbini Province in Deukhuri, works have been moving in full swing to set up other ministries.
After the government had instructed to transfer the ministries to Deukhuri from Butwal, works to move the ministries to the permanent capital had begun. Among the 13 ministries, six are in the process of being established on the premises of the office of the Chief Minister while works to establish remaining seven outside the premises CM’s office have begun, informed Provincial Infrastructure Development Authority’s Chief Executive Officer Chhabiraj Pokhrel.
Before establishing the Chief Minister's Office on December 14, two ministries were operating in Deukhuri. The remaining 11 ministries are being established in the Dekhuri Valley. Some of the ministries have started shifting their offices and furniture to new office buildings.
The Ministry of Tourism, Rural and Urban Development, Ministry of Economic Affairs and Cooperatives, Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and the Ministry of Forest Environment and Land Conservation have been established on the premises of the Chief Minister's office. The ministries are now preparing to start delivering their services from their new offices within a month.
The remaining ministries-- the Ministry of Commerce and Supply, Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens, Ministry of Education and Sports, Ministry of Labour and Transport, Ministry of Agriculture and Land Management, Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation and Ministry of Health are being set up outside the Chief Minister's Office premises.
The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply has been set up at the office of Ward No. 1 in Bhalubang, Ministry of Agriculture and Land Management at the office of Ward No. 2 and Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizens and the Ministry of Labour and Transport at the office of Rapti Rural Municipality. Similarly, Ministry of Education and Sports has been set up at the office of Ward No.8 of Rapti Rural Municipality and the Ministry of Health at the office of Ward no. 5.
Cooperative Registration Officer's Office and Directorate of Education and Social Development also have been established in the new capital.
Likewise, Directorate of Health, the offices of the State Planning Commission and Chief Attorney have been set up on the Chief Minister's office premises. The office of the State Controller of Accounts has been established at the office of the Rapti Rural Municipality.
