Kripa representing Nepal in WUBC

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 10: Kripa Lama will represent Nepal in the World’s Universal Beauty Competition (WUBC) scheduled to be held in the United States from January 11 to 15 next year.

Chief Executive Director of the Nepalese Council and National Director of WUBC Deependra Ratna Shakya said that due to COVID-19 pandemic and dengue epidemic, they could not organise the event this year, so, only the short–listed candidates from audition and after a rigorous selection process, 18-year-old Kripa Lama was selected for the competition to be held in the USA.

She is also the winner of Little Star of the World 2015 held in Antalya, Turkey. Shakya added, “Lama reflects herself as confident, beautiful and poised and also aims to be an influential social worker.”

Lama, who  is a student of Bouddha International School and passed grade 12 with Physical Science as major, will be competing with 27 global participants from 13 different countries.

Organiser Shakya said, “Our aim is to introduce not only someone with a beautiful face, but someone who will successfully represent Nepal gloriously in the international arena. “Our organisation is obligated to take up the responsibility of representing Nepal with the motive of adding one drop in the wide ocean of Nepal and US relations.”
