19th National Jyapu Day marked (photo feature)

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec. 8: The 19^th National Jyapu Day has been marked organizing a special programme at Basantapur coinciding with the Ya:mari Punhi.

The Jyapu community in Kathmandu also took out a cultural rally before converging into the special programme.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jivan Ram Shrestha, HoR member from Kathmandu-1 Prakash Man Singh, HOR member from Kathmandu-9 Krishna Gopal Shrestha, deputy mayor of Kathmandu Metropolis Sunita Dangol, among other dignitaries attended the programme.

Mangal Krishna Singh, Chairman of the Jyapu Culture Development Trust, presided over the programme in which people making important contribution to society were also honoured.
