Maoist Centre’s Karki leads vote count in Dolakha

Dolakha, Dec 4:The CPN (Maoist Centre) candidate Ganga Karki has taken a lead in the counting of votes for the election to the House of Representatives (HoR) in Dolakha. The election was held on November 20.

According to Chief Returning Officer Dilli Ratna Shrestha, Maoist Centre’s Karki has obtained 21,412 votes while UML's Bal Krishna Siwakoti received 21,143 votes out of 49,635 votes counted so far.

Earlier, UML’s Siwakoti had led the vote counts.

Likewise, candidate of left-democratic alliance is ahead of the UML’s candidate in Province Assembly elections from constituency no 1 (a). 

Of the counted 39,169 votes, NC’s Kundan Raj Kafle has obtained 21,337 votes while UML’s Nar Bahadur Shrestha got 14,042 votes.  

In Province Assembly 1 (b), UML’s candidate Bharat Bahadur KC has won the election by defeating NC’s candidate Burma Lama. 

Dolakha had a total of 161,450 voters and 21 candidates from 14 different political parties and 7 independents were in the fray. (RSS)
