FIFA World Cup: Argentina and Poland secure spots in knock-out round

Kathmandu, Dec 1 :  Argentina and Poland have secured spots in the knock-out round of the FIFA World Cup Football championship underway in Qatar.  

  
In a match played last night, Argentina entered into the knock-out round by beating Poland.    

Argentina beat Poland 2-0 in the final match of Group 'C'. Alexis Mac Allister and Julian Alvarez scored on each goal to secure the win of Argentina.

    
With this win, Argentina has become the winner of Group 'C'. Poland also got into the knock-out round becoming the runner up in the group.    

Likewise, Mexico defeated Saudi Arab 2-1 in the match held in another stadium last night. Mexico and Saudi Arab of Group 'C' have been eliminated from the World Cup. (RSS)
