By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Nov. 21: Government ministers and senior political leaders reached their respective polling centres to cast their votes in the House of Representatives and Provincial Assemblies elections on Sunday.
Minister for Urban Development Metmani Chaudhary cast his vote in the polling centre in Janata Secondary School in Gadhawa Rural Municipality of Dang 1 constituency. He is a candidate for the House of Representatives (HoR) from the ruling coalition CPN (Unified Socialist).
Similarly, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Dilendra Prasad Badu cast his vote in the polling centre set up on the premises of Apinampa Conservation Area in Khalanga, Darchula.
Senior leader of the Nepali Congress (NC) Ram Chandra Poudel cast his vote in the polling centre at Satyawati, Damauli, in Tanahun 1 Constituency. He is the ruling alliance’s candidate for the HoR from the same constituency.
Vice-president of NC Dhanraj Gurung cast his vote in the polling centre at Ranichari Primary School in Syangja 1 Constituency. He is the HoR candidate of the ruling coalition from Syangja 2.
Similarly, Nepali Congress central committee member Bimalendra Nidhi cast vote in the polling centre at Rajeshwor Nidhi Higher Secondary School in Dhanusha 3 Constituency. He is a candidate to the HoR under proportional representation (PR) category.
Similarly, CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Matrika Prasad Yadav cast his vote in the polling centre at Ram Prasad Secondary School in Dhanusha 1 Constituency. He is a candidate for HoR on behalf of the ruling coalition from the same constituency.
Krishna Prasad Sitoula, NC leader and ruling coalition candidate from Jhapa 3, cast his vote in the polling centre of Kalwalgudhi Basic School in Bhadrapur.
Sitoula’s opponent Rajendra Lingden, chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party, cast his vote from the polling centre established at the office of Ward No. 1 of Haldibari Rural Municipality.
Likewise, Loktantrik Samajwadi Party-Nepal leader Rajendra Mahato cast his vote in the polling centre at Durga Khobhari Janata Secondary School in Chandranagar, Sarlahi. He is also the candidate for the HoR from Sarlahi 2.
Rastriya Swatantra Party chairman Rabi Lamichhane cast his vote in the polling centre at Chabahil, Kathmandu. He is the party’s HoR candidate from Chitwan 2.
