By Lilaraj Khadka, Birtamod, Nov. 19: The suspicious object placed by the unknown group in the polling booth near Birendra Secondary School, Chandragadi, Jhapa, has created havoc in the area.
The suspicious object placed by marking danger has been destroyed by the Nepali Army at 7 AM on Saturday. The object was found on Friday night at the western gate of Birendra Secondary School, Bhadrapur-7, Jhapa.
The Nepal police had prohibited the entrance of locals in the spot after finding a suspicious object placed near the school in two bags, and when the disposal team of the Nepali army disposed of the suspicious object in a safe place, there was no loud noise, but a sound like explosives was heard.
Basanta Kumar Pathak, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), District Police Office, Jhapa, said that the suspicious-looking object was not a bomb but was placed like a bomb by filling it with sand.
DSP Pathak believed that the object may have been placed with the intention of terrorizing the general public during elections.
