Nep-UAE Tri-series today

Kathmandu, Nov. 14: The newly appointed Nepal's cricket skipper Rohit Paudel said the ODI Tri-Series against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a challenging job for his team. The series between host Nepal and UAE will be kicking off at T.U Cricket Ground, Kathmandu on Monday.

The other two matches of the series will be held on Wednesday and Friday. Poudel, who replaced Sandeep Lamichhane as a captain, said Nepal would take full advantage of playing on home soil. “I would like to thank CAN for arranging Tri-Series. We are fully prepared for the Series against the UAE," Captain Paudel said.

Nepal's Coach Manoj Prabhakar said that Nepal made wonderful preparation for the Tri-Series. “They are confident of yielding positive results. We expect good results from the youth-dominated team. It is a wonderful opportunity to team Nepal ahead of their Namibia tour.”

The UAE Coach Robin Singh said his team has a good combination of youth and experienced cricketers. He hoped to do well against Nepal in the series.  The UAE team captain Chundangapoyil Puthiyapurayil Rizwam said his boys are excited to play at TU Cricket Ground full of Nepali supporters. 

The General Manager of CAN Binod Das informed that the ICC has given the ODI status to the matches of the Tri-Series between Nepal and the UAE.
