Horse racing in Ghodepani (Photo Feature)

By Thakur Prasad Acharya, Myagdi, Nov. 4:  The third horse racing competition has been organised at Ghodepani, a tourist destination of the Myagdi district. 

Horse racing was organised at Annapurna Rural Municipality - 6, Ghodepani, to attract foreign and domestic tourists.

16 horse riders participated in the competition.

Hitman Gurung of Chuile, Annapurna Rural Municipality, stood first in the competition.

Biren Garbuja Pun, Chair of the Ghodepani Area Improvement Committee, informed that Gurung's horse completed 7.5 kilometres distance in 25 minutes and 38 seconds from Ghoptekhara to Ghodepani, Annapurna Rural Municipality-5, and become the first.

Similarly, Yam Pun of Ghodepani became second by completing the distance in 25 minutes and 38 seconds. Whereas, Sumit Gurung of Kaski's Chhomrong become third by completing the race in 26 minutes and 54 seconds.
