NHRC begins probe into Kalikot blast

Kathmandu, Nov. 3: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has sent letters to the concerned agencies in connection with the incident of bomb blast at Taiaguga Municipality-10 in Kalikot on October 29. 

The blast left two children dead and three others injured. The commission has sent a team to carry out on-site monitoring of the incident.  

NHRC spokesperson Dr. Tika Ram Pokharel informed that the commission has demanded that the government take such recurring incidents seriously and bring the guilty to book after fair investigation. 

NHRC has also urged the government to arrange relief and compensation for the survivors and provide free and effective medical treatment to the injured.
