CPN (UML) unveils its manifesto digitally

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov. 1: CPN (UML) has unveiled its manifesto for November 20 elections to the House of Representatives and Province Assembly members amidst a function here today.     

The UML informed about activities to be carried out by the party through visual means. CPN (UML) Chair KP Sharma Oli digitally unveiled it. The manifesto has a total of 20,000 words.     

The UML in its manifesto has laid emphasis on the welfare and sovereignty of the nation as well as political stability.     

The party has mentioned an economic, transparent and pro-people ruling system, boosting national capital, and fulfilling the national aspiration 'Happy Nepali, Prosperous Nepal', among other major programmes in its manifesto.     

It also presented 20 bases for the implementation of its manifesto. 

The CPN- UML has aimed at catching up a double-digit economic growth by stimulating 7 per cent growth in the next five years.

It has claimed to surpass gross domestic product (GDP) to Rs 10 trillion within 5 years and increase the per Capital income of Nepali people to over USD 2,400 within the span of 5 years.

The party will ease the registration of industries by facilitating all services at the initial point

The private sector will be encouraged to stimulate investment, employment opportunities and increasing productivity, according to the party’s election manifesto.

 UML claims to aggrandize GDP worth Rs 100 trillion    

CPN-UML has made public its election manifesto claiming to aggrandize the Gross Domestic Production (GDP) to Rs 100 trillion in the next five years.     

Currently, Nepal's GDP is worth Rs 48 trillion. The party has aimed at reaching the Per Capital Income of Nepali people to USD 2,400 within the next five years, the party said.     

The manifesto launched at a programme here today has set a target to primarily reach the economic growth rate of five per cent and then make it double digit within five years. The party has also claimed to develop the Nepali economy as an emerging economy of the globe.     

Among other agendas put forth by the manifesto include granting approval within seven days of the submission of an application for the registration of industry and enterprises, developing agriculture and forest, industry, tourism, energy, information technology and infrastructure as the catalytic force of the economic growth, among others. (RSS)
