Draws Up Blueprint Of Brilliant Future

It has made strategic plans for building China into a modern socialist country in all respects and advancing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts. The Congress elected a new central leadership with Comrade Xi at the core, carried forward and practiced democracy throughout the process, and gathered the consensus of the whole party and people. This grand event has attracted great attention from the international community. As a close and friendly neighbour and strategic cooperative partner, Nepali parties, political leaders and all sectors of society have congratulated the Chinese leaders and the CPC one after another, the close friendship between China and Nepal is so touching.

In the past ten years, China has worked hard and courageously. The Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi at the core has pursued a strategy of national rejuvenation amid global changes, fully implemented the Party's basic theory, line and policy and made well-coordinated efforts to advance our great struggle, great project, great cause, and great dream. It has solved a great number of problems that had long gone unsolved, secured many accomplishments that hold major future significance, withstood risks, challenges, and trials in the political, economic, ideological, and natural domains, and created a socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era. 

Fundamentally speaking, the historic achievements and changes for the cause of the party and the country in the new era lie in the establishment of Comrade Xi Jinping as the core of the Party Central Committee and the core position of the whole Party, and the guiding of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. The past ten years have also been a decade for China to develop itself and benefit the world. China's contribution to global economic growth averaged over 30 per cent in the past decade, ranking first in the world. China has become a major trading partner for over 140 countries and regions, with the total volume of trade in goods ranking first in the world, leading the world in attracting foreign capital and foreign investment. 

After the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, China took the lead in resuming production, becoming the mainstay of stabilising the global industrial chain and supply chain, with international community embracing the Belt and Road Initiative as a public good and cooperation platform. China has promoted the development of a human community with a shared future and stood firm in protecting international fairness and justice.

Looking forward to the next ten years, it is a decade for China to draw up a blueprint and create another brilliant future. General Secretary Xi’s report, delivered to the Congress, has pointed out that the central task of the CPC will be to lead the people of all ethnic groups with concerted efforts to realise the Second Centenary Goal of building China as a great socialist country in all respects and achieve the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernisation. 

Chinese modernisation is a socialist modernisation pursued under the leadership of the CPC. It is the modernisation of a huge population, common prosperity for all, material and cultural-ethical advancement, harmony between humanity and nature, and peaceful development. Chinese modernisation has expanded the way for developing countries to modernise, proving that modernisation is not the exclusive patent of the West. Every country, including Nepal, can find a modernisation path that suits its own conditions. The upcoming ten years will also be a decade for China and rest countries of the world to move forward through thick and thin. 

At present, our world is undergoing the COVID-19 pandemic and changes unseen in a century. The report organically links the historical mission of the CPC, the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation, and world peace and development. China's development is an increase in the strength of peace and the strength of developing countries. It will bring important opportunities and major benefits to all countries in the world and make greater contributions to human development and progress. China has maintained continuity and stability in its foreign policy, and will work to promote world peace and common development, especially the development of a human community with a shared future. 

China and Nepal are close and friendly neighbours. China's past and present achievements are inseparable from the support of Nepal. Nepal will hold federal and provincial elections next month, which will have an important impact on the country’s political, economic and social development. We sincerely wish the elections a success and believe the new government will start a new journey of building a prosperous Nepal. I believe that no matter how the international and regional situation changes, the friendship between China and Nepal will stand tall and indestructible like Mt. Everest. 

China is willing to work with Nepal, in accordance with the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, jointly implement the Global Development Initiative and the Global Security Initiative. Let the "Belt and Road" better benefit the two countries and their people, build a closer China-Nepal community with a shared future, and write a new chapter of China-Nepal friendship in the new era.
