No option to Prachanda for Gorkha’s development: Dr Bhattarai

Gorkha, Oct 30:Former Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has argued that there was no other alternative to candidacy of CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ in Gorkha to fulfill the dream of development and prosperity in the district.

During an electoral campaign at Bhachchek of Gorkha district on Sunday, former Prime Minister Dr Bhattarai claimed that only Prachanda could translate the dream of model for development and prosperity for Gorkha district after his victory in the upcoming general elections. “I had a dream to make a model of development in Gorkha. I even got opportunities to become finance minister and prime minister. Some infrastructures of development have been readied in Gorkha and some are still incomplete. He (Prachanda) will complete the remaining tasks of development after his victory in the elections,” Dr Bhattarai added.        

Dr Bhattarai, who is also the Chairman of Nepal Socialist Party, said a good opportunity had arrived at present at the wish of political parties and people of Gorkha though he had long aspired for Prachanda’s candidacy in Gorkha.

He also descried Dahal’s candidacy from Gorkha Constituency no 2 as a good coincidence, adding that he was fearful whether the projects in the district would remain in limbo. Likewise, Dr Bhattarai said he was ready to bridge the citizens and government even by remaining out of the government.(RSS)
