By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct. 14: Potters have a hard time meeting the demand for clay oil lamps these days for the upcoming Tihar.
The Prajapati community is currently excessively busy commercializing clay arts they inherit from their ancestors in view of the Tihar festival.
Bolachhe and Pottery Square at Tala in Bhaktapur and Nagdesh, Bode, Chapacho and Pancho in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality are known traditional pottery villages in the district.
45-year-old Krishna Shyam Prajapati has said that the demand for clay oil lamps (pala) is high during Tihar so they are busy making lamps as much as possible.
