Kathmandu, Oct. 14: Culture expert and historian Satya Mohan Joshi has again been moved to the intensive care unit (ICU) of KIST Medical College and Teaching Hospital.

After two days of mild recovery, he had been moved out of the ICU into the hospital’s deluxe cabin on Wednesday. However, Joshi had to be shifted back to intensive care on Thursday after his oxygen saturation level dropped, Professor Dr. Suraj Bajracharya, director of KIST, said in a statement.

Similarly, Joshi has been placed back on high flow nasal cannula support at 30 litres per minute. He had only required a support of two litres per minute and three litres on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Bajracharya informed that Joshi, who is 103 years old, also had to be kept on antibiotics to treat his pneumonia. His atrial fibrillation also persists.
