Tanahun, Oct. 13:The hearing of actor Paul Shah's case has been postponed further.   Actor Shah was arrested on the charge of raping a minor.

The hearing was scheduled for Wednesday in the Tanahun district court. But it was adjourned. Earlier, two similar hearings were put off.

Senior advocate Kamala Mohan Wagle, who pleaded  on behalf of Shah, informed that District Judge Harish Chandra Dhungana was suffering from dengue.

Similarly, another judge was also suffering from dengue while next judge  designed as Chief Election Officer was busy in election process.

On February 23, the minor's father filed a complaint at the district police office Tanahun saying that Shah had repeatedly raped her daughter.

However, later both father and daughter changed their statements stating that Shah didn't rape the minor.

Min Bahadur Kunwar, registrar of Tanahun District Court, informed that the hearing of the case was postponed because two judges were on home leave due to illness and one judge and a government lawyer were deployed in the election.

Tanahun District Court said that new hearing date was yet to be fixed and the hearing was likely to be held only after the November 20 elections.

There was also a case against Shah in the District Court of Nawalpur.

But Nawalpur Court acquitted him on the charge of rape. However, it sentenced him to two and a half years imprisonment and fined him  Rs. 25,000 on the charge of child sexual abuse, and asked him to provide compensation of Rs. 1 million to the minor.
