Tourism minister instructs authorities to rescue stranded tourists

Kathmandu, Oct. 13: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jeevan Ram Shrestha has instructed the concerne4d authorities to rescue the tourists stranded in different parts of the country.

Meeting with security personnel and the officials of the various bodies under his ministry on Wednesday, Minister Shrestha asked all of them to take immediate action to rescue the foreign nationals stuck in various locations across the country including Manang, Mustang, Gorkha and Dolpa districts due to rains and bad weather. 

He also asked them to look into reports of tourists stuck on various mountain peaks and make efforts to bring them to safety without delay.
