Deal reached for human resource development

Kathmandu, Oct.12: Banking Finance and Insurance Institute of Nepal (BFIN) entered into a strategic agreement with Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC), Manila, Philippines on Tuesday at a ceremony hosted by CPSC, Manila. 

The agreement was signed by Dr. Binod Atreya, Managing Director of BFIN, and Professor G.L.D Wickramasinghe, Director General of CPSC.

The objective of this strategic agreement is to work together in areas of capacity development for the employees of various institutions within the domain of both institutions, according to a press statement of BFIN.

Dr. Atreya said that this collaboration between both institutions will help in the human resource development of many member countries. 

He suggested hosting training in areas of mutual interest to both organisations, and proposed hosting an international training programme in Nepal.

Professor Wickramasinghe shared happiness with this collaboration and assured of his support to run programmes in Manila. Welcoming the delegates, he assured them that the programme will be fruitful and delegates will have many takeaways while going back to their organisation.

BFIN in collaboration with CPSC is hosting an Advanced Bank Management training programme in Manila from October 11-15 this year. Senior officials from Agriculture Development Bank Limited, Nepal Investment Bank Limited, and Kumari Bank Limited are participating in this programme.
