By TRN Online, Syangja, Oct. 9: Nepali Congress’s Raju Thapa and
Dhana Raj Gurung have filed nominations from Syangja Constituency 1 and 2 for
the election to the members of the House of Representatives (HoR).
Similarly, CPN (UML)’s Narayan Prasad Marasini and Padma Kumari Aryal
have also filed nominations from the same, Syangja 1 and 2, constituencies.
Gurung is NC’s central vice-president while Aryal is the central
secretary of the UML.
CPN (Maoist Center)’s Amrita Thapa Magar filed a nomination for
provincial assembly (PA) from Ka constituency under Constituency 2 while NC’s
Kumar Rana registered a candidacy for PA from Kha constituency under
Constituency 2.
NC’s Mekh Lal Shrestha also filed candidacy for PA member from
constituency Ka under Constituency 2 despite ruling alliance’s agreement to
allocate the constituency to the CPN (Maoist Center).
Ram Chandra Bhattarai, district chair of CPN (Unified Socialist)
and Bhoj Aryal of NC have also filed candidacies from Constituency 2 Ka for PA claiming
the constituency as per ruling alliance decision.
UML’s Mohan Prasad Regmi and Dr. Buddhiman Shrestha filed
candidacies for PA from Ka and Kha constituencies under Constituency 2 while
Sita Sundas and Sudhir Paudel registered candidacies for PA members from Ka and
Kha constituencies under Constituency 1. Tik Raj Gurung has filed candidacy for
HoR member from Constituency 2 representing Swotantra Party Nepal.
