Flood, landslide displace six families in Gulmi

Gulmi, Oct. 7: Twenty people of six families have been displaced in Gulmi due to flood and landslide. 

The displaced families have been taking shelter at their relatives and neighbour's houses. Landslide had damaged their houses and huts. The displaced families are from Gulmidurbar and Chandrakot rural municipalities, according to the District Police Office, Gulmi. 

Similarly, houses of Kersingh Kami, Sita BK of Gulmidurbar-7 and houses of Dambar Bahadur Subedi, Shanta Nepali and Biba Nepali of Chandrakot Rural Municipality-4 are at the risk of landslide. 

Police shared that the displaced families have been taking shelter at their relatives and neighbours' houses for the time being. 

Chairperson of District Disaster Management Committee, Gulmi, and Chief District Officer, Punya Bikram Poudel, said efforts were on to coordinate with local levels for the management of the displaced ones.  (RSS)
