By Mahima Devkota, Kathmandu, Oct. 7: A total of 42 people have lost their lives due to dengue in the last 37 days.
According to Dr. Chuman Lal Das, director of the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD), 42 people have succumbed to dengue infection in more than a month. The first death from dengue was confirmed on September 1.
He said that the dengue will be consistent for one more month and people need to be vigilant in avoiding mosquito bites.
The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), has appealed to denizens to be extra cautious about avoiding mosquito bites and cleaning mosquito breeding places saying that the risk of dengue infection is persistent in the country.
So far, 32, 121 have tested positive for the dengue infection.
