Kathmandu, Sept 30 : Subash Tamang won the Nepal Tourism Amateur Golf Championship played over 54 holes at Gokarna Golf Club on Thursday.
Tamang carded a round of three-under 69 for a total score of 10-under 208 to have a 13-stroke victory in a world amateur ranking golf tournament over Tashi Tshiring, who finished second with the total score of three-over 219 after shooting one-over 73 today.
Wanchen Dhondup was third with a total score of five-over 221 after scoring even-par 72. Selah Ali Lakaabi from Qatar was fourth with eight-over 224. Sadbhav Acharya finished fifth with nine-over 225.
Among the girls, Kashmira Shah won with a total score of 24-over 240 after playing a bad round of 15-over 87 today. Sushma Sigdel scored 45-over 261 to finish runner-up.
Sonia Akter was third after she played 13-over 85 today for a total score of 47-over 263. Ringkee Akther was fourth with a total score of 51-over. Prativa Rai was fifth with 52-over 268.
The 18-hole Stableford tournament played on the sidelines of the event was won by Norbu Tshiring Sherpa with 39 points. Dhundul Namgyal was second with 35 points. Aaiesteen Tandan was a winner among the ladies and Arsiya Banu finished second.
A total of 34 golfers participated in the 54-holes event and 72 golfers played social event today.
The tournament organized by Nepal Golf Association in partnership with Nepal Tourism Board and National Sports Council.
