Minister Shrestha leaves for Canada to attend 41st ICAO Assembly

Kathmandu, Sept 26: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, left here today to take part in the 41st triennial International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO)'s Assembly.     

The Minister-led legation to the ICAO Assembly also includes the Director General at the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).     

The ICAO Session kicking off at Madrigal on Tuesday will bring together representatives from 193 nations across the world.     

Minister Shrestha will be apprising the world community about Nepal’s endeavors toward strengthening aviation security.     

 According to the Minister's Private Secretariat, he will apprise the Session about Nepal's accomplishments in the expansion of aviation service, airport upgrading, and the construction of new airports.     

The Assembly to run till October 7 will discuss various issues such as environmental conservation, flight security and facilitation, enhancement of flight capacity and efficiency, air transport and economic development, aviation policies, strategies, and issues persisting in this sector.     (RSS)

The Session will observe the voting of members nations. The delegation will return home on October 5. (RSS)
