Humla, Sept 5 Although physical infrastructure was constructed in a school of the district to run classes of multi-technical education two years ago, classes have not begun yet.

The building was constructed on the premises of Mansarobar Namuna Secondary School with the financial support of the Karnali Province government. But, no additional subjects related to the technical stream have been introduced even after two years, Amar Bahadur Shahi, the headmaster of Mansarovar Model Secondary School, said.

According to Shahi, the building was constructed to start classes in the engineering stream. But it cannot operate the course for lack of affiliation for that.

Dharmaraj Bohara, the chief engineer of the Social Development Office, informed that four buildings were constructed at a cost of Rs.12,000,000. The total budget includes DPR preparation, provincial government grant, and public volunteers. There are 11 rooms in those buildings.

After the buildings were left useless, the school rented one building to the armed police and the other building to the Himali Bahira and Residential School for Mentally Retarded.

Only now, the school has been preparing to run the diploma program in engineering with the affiliation of CTEVT after it failed to run the program from the province level, headmaster Shahi said.
