Over 38,000 children to be vaccinated against COVID in Tanahun

Damauli, Aug 20: As many as 38,000 children of Tanahun district are to be inoculated with vaccine against COVID at schools. 

Pfizer vaccine is to be administered to 38,158 children with (5-12) year-old at their schools. 

In-charge of Health Office Tanahun Shanker Babu Adhikari shared that the office had intensified its preparation to provide inoculation service to the targeted children following the instruction of the Ministry of Health and Population. 

He further said children would be provided with vaccination service through 120 educational institutions of the district. 

In this connection, orientation was already imparted to the health workers serving in the district for running the vaccination campaign. 

"As part of the nationwide campaign, we are engaging our efforts to conduct the drive for vaccination against COVID in the district", Adhikari said, adding, "Training was already imparted  to the health workers". 

Campaign would take place in Shuklagandaki and Bhanu municipalities on August 23-26 in the first phase. 

Likewise, the campaign would be held in Byas municipality, Bhimad municipality, Myagde municipality, Riching rural municipality, Ghiring rural municipality, Bandirpur rural municipality, Anbukhaireni rural municipality and Devghat rural municipality in the second phase on August 27-30. (RSS)
