Pyuthan jeep accident update: number of deaths reaches 3

By Salim Minya, Bijuwar, July 31: The number of deaths due to the jeep accident Bhyagute, Swargadwari Municipality-4 in Pyuthan.

The number of casualties increased as two of the injured persons died while under treatment in addition to an on-the-spot death.

Satya Narayan Thapa, Deputy Superintendent of Police in the Pyuthan District Police Office, said that there were 17 persons in the jeep.

The injured are receiving treatment at hospitals in Butwal and Bhairahawa.

Relatives of Siddhartha Municipality and Mayadevi Rural Municipality had hired the jeep and been to Swargadwari for pilgrimage. The jeep collided on the way back from Swargadwari, according to the DSP.

The accident occurred on Saturday.
