UML demands retention of temporary, contract employees

Kathmandu, July 29: The main opposition CPN (UML) has urged the Federal, Province, and local governments not to relieve employees working on the contract and temporary basis. 

   
Stating that employees appointed on temporary, contract, and daily-wages basis at the three-tier government are being discharged with the commencement of the new fiscal year, the party demanded the job security of those employees.    


In a press statement today, UML federal affairs and general administration chief Kiran Gurung demanded the retention of the employees and a guarantee of their professional security. (RSS)
