Lyricist Upadhyay makes 110 world records

By A Staff Reporter Kathmandu, July 29Songwriter Dr. DR Upadhyay has created a world record by releasing a song in 50 languages including Nepali. Upadhyay’s record has now reached 110. Urban Development Minister Metmani Chaudhary presented him with the Guinness Book of World Record certificate at a programme held in the capital on Wednesday.

Speaking at the programme, Minister Chaudhary said that Dr. Upadhyaya is a person with amazing abilities.  He said that his contribution to make the country known in the international arena should be properly appreciated. 

In the world record making song, Santosh Shrestha has given music and voice in Nepali language, Dr. Upadhyaya has given voice in Hindi and Prakash Timilsina in other languages. 

Along with Nepali language, the song was released in Hindi, Japanese, Chinese, English, Russian, Korean, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Thai, Mauritian, Urdu, Swedish, Croatian, Hebrew, Portuguese, Bengali, Sanskrit, Estonian, Vietnamese, Dutch, Slovenian, Indonesian, Romanian, Finnish, Turkish, Greek, Filipino, Albanian, Ukrainian, Slovakian, Serbian, Norwegian and other languages.
