One more cholera case detected in Valley

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July 19: One more case of cholera has been confirmed in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours. With this, the total caseload of cholera in the Valley has reached 31.

Dr Chuman Lal Das, Director of the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD), said that one more case of Cholera was confirmed on Monday. He said Cholera was confirmed by stool culture in 11 cases, 11 by RDT, and hanging drop in six cases while the record of the testing method of three cases is yet to be enlisted. 

The Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital (STIDH) reported the first case on 16 June.

According to STIDH altogether 31 cases of cholera have been recorded so far in Kathmandu Valley in this monsoon season.
