By Our Correspondent Nepalgunj, July 3: Nepalgunj Medical College (NMC) has agreed to offer up to 25 per cent discount in the treatment of incumbent and retired police officers referred from Kohalpur-based Mid-Western Regional Police Hospital.
According to the medical college, they will also be providing the discount to the family members of the officers as well. “Former or current police officers and their family members referred to us from the police hospital in Kohalpur will be offered up to 25 per cent discount on their treatment costs,” said Dr. Roman Kidwai, assistant director at Nepalgunj Medical College.
As per the agreement, in case of current and retired police officers, 25 per cent discount will be provided for general bed charges alongside lab and radiology services. Similarly, the medical college will provide 15 per cent discount on other treatment-related services.
Meanwhile, the family members will receive a discount of 10 per cent on their treatment costs.
“We expect that this agreement will support our officers and their families financially. The medical college is more equipped and officers can avail serious treatments as well,” said Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr. Dipa Nhuche Pradhan of the Mid-Western Police Hospital.
The agreement will be implemented for a year from July 17.
