By Our Correspondent Rukum West, July 2: Solar lights have been installed in various wards of Chaurjahari Municipality in Rukum West. Chaurjahari is one of the 10 new cities announced by the government. The places are illuminated after the installation of 325 lights in eight different wards of the municipality.
The solar lights were installed in roads, public places and buspark area of the new city by Chaurjahari New City Project (CNCP). Chairman of the CNCP, Dhir Fadera, said that setting up of solar lights in eight wards, which were approved in the fiscal year 2021/22, has been completed.
Solar lights have been installed in 134 places of Ward No. 1, 52 places of Ward No. 2, 101 places of Ward No.3, two places of Ward No.4, seven places in Ward No.6, 14 places in Ward no.7 and five places in Ward no. 11 of the municipality. G Tech Construction and Engineering had started works in January which had a total investment of Rs. 34,049,951.
The locals are happy as the village has lit up after the installation of solar lights in main areas of the eight wards. Rim Prasad Sharma of Chaurjahari Municipality-1 said that the solar lights have illuminated all the places and added that there will be no problem of darkness now, especially in the road areas.
The passengers who get off at the night time also said that it has become easier to move their luggages, search for accommodation and go to their destination because of the solar lights. Sher Jung Chand of Chuarjahari-11 said that it is necessary to think about the protection and regulation of the solar lights.
