By Chandra Pandak, Taplejung, May 30: There has been an initiative of using the vehicle of the chairperson of the Phaktanglung Rural Municipality, Taplejung, for ambulance service with an aim to facilitate denizens of the remote area.
The vehicle that has been designated for the use of the chairperson is now being used for the ambulance service.
Rajan Limbu (Mukti), the newly elected chairperson of
the rural municipality, is doing a noble job by giving the vehicle for the
ambulance service which has helped to rescue patients.
Limbu himself took a patient named Ram Pyari Limbu,
aged 63 of Ikhabu Khupatali, Taplejung to the Taplejung District Hospital on
the vehicle which was designated for his post on Saturday. The patient with jaundice
and kidney stone was taken to the hospital from Chiruwa Bazar to Taplejung
district hospital.
While taking over the post of Chairperson, Limbu had
declared that the vehicle designated for the chairperson will be used as an ambulance to rescue patients and had asked locals to remember him without
any hesitancy if needed commuting for health issues.
The declaration was materialized by giving service
to Ram Pyari Limbu, a patient with jaundice and kidney stone, on Saturday. He
mentioned giving the vehicle for commuting ill patients in his election commitment
paper as well.
Chairperson Limbu has received the admiration of the whole
village following the materialization of his declaration. Locals have said that
this step would ensure relief to denizens as Phaktanglung Rural municipality is
a very remote area of the district.
Likewise, Chairperson Limbu said that plan is underway
to buy an ambulance service to facilitate people in his rural municipality.
Limbu is also the CPN (Maoist Center) Committee Chairperson of the Phaktanglung Rural municipality, Taplejung.
