By TRN Online, Lalitpur, May 27: Executive Chairman of the Gorkhapatra Corporation Bishnu Prasad Subedi has underscored the importance of moving forward at par with the pace of the technology and the need of the time so as to make the journey of Smart Gorkhapatra a success.

Inaugurating a two-day workshop on 'leadership and appreciative inquiry' organised by the Corporation on Friday, executive chairman Subedi also underlined the need for digitalization of the overall organizational structure of the media house.

Chiefs of the departments and sections of the Corporation are participating in the workshop aimed at injecting vitality to their innovative thinking and efficient performance of the job.

He viewed that readers are the the Corporation's strength and asset and pointed out the need for transforming the working style of the workforce into smart one so as to provide the readers with the contents of their choice.

"The Gorkhapatra has a glorious history of 122 years. It is the mirror of a while era, civilization and culture. But, we are lagging far behind in catching up with the modern digital world. Now, we have to catch up with the speed of digital age, channelize our capacity and experience into the journey of smart Gorkhapatra," said the executive chairman.

Lal Bahadur Airi, general manager of the corporation, urged the chiefs of the departments and section of the corporation to work for concrete results.

He underlined the need of adhering to professional conduct, discipline and honest attachment to the corporation for its success. "Team work and positive thinking are the prerequisites of any achievement."

Chief of personnel administration of the corporation, Bikram Babu Rai, described about the objectives of the workshop and expressed hope that the learnings from the workshop will be translated into the action in course of performing one's duties of the office.

On the first day of the workshop, trainer Raman Bhattarai made a presentation about time and stress management as well as the team work.
