By A Staff Reporter Kathmandu, May 24: The government is unveiling its annual policies and programmes for the fiscal year 2079/80 on Tuesday.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari will read out the policy document at a joint session of the Federal Parliament at 4:00 PM tomorrow. Rojnath Pandey, Secretary at the Parliament Secretariat, said that all the preparations for the address of the President in the House have been completed. The Parliament Secretariat informed that rehearsal reading, seat planning, protocol maintenance and other preparatory tasks have already been completed. 

“President will address the joint session of the federal parliament at 4:00 PM at the first session of the House and Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will present a proposal to thank the President in its second session at 6 PM,” he said.

Pandey also informed that Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun, Chief Justice, Nepal Army Chief and heads of constitutional bodies will be present in the parliament on the occasion. “We don’t have much space in the Parliament Building and we won't be able to adjust foreign diplomats and representatives of the private sector in the House meeting during the President’s address as we also have to maintain health protocol,” he added. Finance Minister Janardan Sharma will prepare and present an annual appropriation bill for the next fiscal year in line with the document presented in the House.
