By A Staff Reporter Kathmandu, May 20: Two reality shows Mero Voice Cup USA and Mero Dance Cup USA will be held in Nepal soon.
The official announcement of the two reality shows were made amid a programme in the capital on Wednesday.
The fourth edition of Mero Dance Cup and the second edition of Mero Voice Cup are currently being auditioned in the United States and Canada.
Selected top 12 contestants will give their performance in Nepal for the first time. The finals of both programmes will be held in the United States, informed the orgrnisers.
Earlier, the shows were organised in the United States.
The judges for Mero Dance Cup USA are Mithila Sharma, Dilip Rayamajhi, Niruta Singh, Keki Adhikari, Shankar BC and Naman Rai.
Likewise, Deepak Jangam, Suresh Adhikari, Shiva Pariyar, Pushpan Pradhan, Muskan Magar, Sujata Burma and Arjun Palikhe are the judges of Mero Voice Cup USA.
Both programmes will be broadcast on Galaxy 4K television.
International Welfare and Support Foundation of America is the organiser of both the shows.
Gopal Dhital, secretary of the foundation, said that the winners of both the competitions will get a raffle car and the second and third will receive gold and silver cup receptively along with cash prize and gifts.
He said that these two reality shows are organised to showcase the love and respect of Nepali speaking people in the third countries to Nepali songs and music and to showcase the talents of Nepali speaking people.
Dilli Adhikari, President of the International Welfare and Support Foundation of America, who is currently in the United States, said that these programmes would help the Nepali speakers around the world to conserve Nepali language, art and culture.
Mero Dance Cup will be hosted by Sudip Sigdel and Sunita Gurung, while Mero Voice Cup will be hosted by Sandeep Chhetri and Reema Bishwokarma.
Both reality shows will be directed by Elin Shrestha.
Dilip Rayamajhi, President of International Welfare and Support Foundation Nepal, also one of the judges of Mero Dance Cup, expressed confidence that these two reality shows would play an important role in connecting Nepalis living outside Nepal with the Nepali art and culture.
Similarly, Deepak Jangam, one of the judges of Mero Voice Cup, expressed his happiness for getting a chance to be associated with a reality shows that unite Nepali language, art and culture.
