NC makes clean sweep in Purbichowki Rural Municipality

By Kashav Chandra Mahara, Dipayal, May 16: Nepali Congress (NC) has won all the seats of the Purbichauki Rural Municipality in the Doti district.

The office of the returning officer, Doti, informed that the NC candidates got elected the chairs and members of all the seven wards in the rural municipality. NC candidates have also been elected the Chair and vice-chair of this local level, with a wide margin against their nearest rivals.

Ram Prasad Upadhayay has been elected to Chairmanship of the Rural Municipality, and Pashupati Khadka elected to its vice-chairmanship. 

Upadhayay secured 5,133 votes. His closest rival got 2,205 votes.
