Kathmandu, May 14 (RSS): National (PABSAN), a non-profit
making organization of private schools in the country, has appealed to the
government to revoke the decision to give two days of holiday in a week
(Saturday and Sunday) in schools.
The incumbent government has
decided to provide two days of public holiday in a week effective from May
15.
N-PABSAN, issuing a press statement
here today, requested the government to reconsider the decision, arguing that
regular teaching-learning activities were adversely affected for nearly two
years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is of the view that the
provision of two days of holiday in a week would further affect the teaching-learning activities and urged not to take any decisions that would make an adverse
impact for the long run.
