There has been heavy rainfall as the low pressure line of the monsoon has shifted toward north from its usual location. According to meteorologist Sanjiv Adhikari, some places of Province 1, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini will receive heavy rainfall till Sunday evening and there is possibility of intermittent but continuity of such precipitation till Wednesday.
