Heavy rainfall likely to continue till evening in many parts of country including Kathmandu
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, July: Heavy rainfall has occurred in many parts of the country Sunday afternoon due to low pressure of the monsoon, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. There has been heavy rainfall as the low pressure line of the monsoon has shifted toward north from its usual location. According to meteorologist Sanjiv Adhikari, some places of Province 1, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini will receive heavy rainfall till Sunday evening and there is possibility of intermittent but continuity of such precipitation till Wednesday.
620 new cases, active cases surge to 4,567
In 2,651 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the past 24 hours, a total of 496 people were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its regular update on Sunday. Likewise, the virus infection was detected in 124 people in 3,195 antigen tests performed in the last 24 hours.
