Despite remittance improve liquidity tightening continues
Bank and financial institutions have faced a tightening liquidity situation despite good remittance inflow vis-à-vis the fall in the trade deficit of the current account. Mid-November Current Macroeconomic and Financial Situation data of the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) showed that remittance increased by 20.4 per cent and the current trade deficit fell by 15.9 per cent in the first four months of the current year FY.
