By Amar Raj Naharki, Tanahun, May 13: A supercentenarian person has cast vote in the ongoing local level election.Gopi Maya Pokhrel, aged 113 years old, of Sepa Bagaicha in Bhanu Municipality-5, Tanahun, cast her vote at Mahadevata Basic School polling center Ka.Bishnu Prasad Neupane, returning officer at the polling station, informed that the supercentenarian cast her vote with help from her grandson.Her voting has given a good message that the future of the people depends on the way they participate in voting and that no one should miss the opportunity to vote, observed Neupane.Gopi Maya's grandson Bharat said that he assisted grandma in voting because she had an eyesight problem. In her citizenship certificate, the birth date of Gopi Maya is mentioned as 1909 August 21.
