Election update: Three major parties leading vote count
According to the Election Commission (EC), out of 165 constituencies, the counting of votes of 132 constituencies was underway till 5:30 pm Wednesday. The results of 20 seats have already been published.

Rashtriya Swatantra Party's Khanal wins HoR seat in Kathmandu-6
Rashtriya Swatantra Party's candidate Shishir Khanal has won the election to the Member of the House of Representatives (HoR) from Kathmandu constituency no 6. Khanal secured 14,204 votes and his closest competitor Sarbendra Khanal of the CPN (UML) got 8,911 votes and Nepali Congress candidate Bhimsen Das Pradhan garnered 8,805 votes, Election Officer Samjhana Khanal said.
