NEA sells power worth Rs 11.16 billion
Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has exported one billion 357 million 757 thousand units of electricity to India. The state power utility made an income of Rs 11 billion 163 million from the export of power between June 2 to December 18.
Nepali volleyball team leaves for Bangladesh
A Nepali volleyball team left for Bangladesh today to take part in the U-23 International Men's Volleyball Championship being held in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. The tournament is taking place from December 22 to 26.
NEA to remove cables placed unsystematically
The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) is to remove unsystematic cables placed along the Tripureshwor-Budhanilkantha area. The NEA in a public notice today said that it would be doing away with wires placed unsystematically on the electric poles, those unused optical fibres and equipment fixed on the poles haphazardly.

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has registered his candidacy for the post of Parliamentary Party leader of the party. Senior Leader Ram Chandra Paudel has proposed Deuba while Vice Chair Purna Bahadur Khadka supported Deuba for the candidacy.

CNP employing camera trapping method to track aggressive wildlife
Chitwan National Park (CNP) has used the camera trapping method at the Meghauli area in order to track violent wildlife. The CNP used this method from December 18. Information Officer of CNP, Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, said cameras have been kept in the Meghauli area after a wild elephant killed a woman of Bharatpur metropolitan city-28 on December 17.

Two die of cold in Sarlahi
Two persons from the Musahar community died of cold in the last two weeks. Those losing lives to chill are from Pidari of Haripur Municipality-9 in Sarlahi. Ramesh Majhi, 40, from ward no 9 and Ram Bhagat Majhi, 65, from ward no 6 of Haripur Municipality lost their lives due to severe cold, according to the District Police Office.
Committee formed to draft Guthi law
The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation has formed a committee to prepare a draft of the Guthi law. The seven-member committee is formed under the coordination of the Joint Secretary and Chief of Land Management Division, Padma Nidhi Soti.
