Good Governance Blueprint proposes governance shake up, termination of some public entities
The blueprint, released on Monday by the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, highlights the need to integrate entities that perform similar functions as well as those that are inactive or ineffective so as to make the administrative system more prompt, efficient and accountable to citizens.

The reform document has suggested implementation of safeguarding, antidumping and countervailing measures to protect domestic industries from imports cheap goods. "Prosperity without active participation of private sector is not possible. So, an environment will be built to lure private sector for investment with timely revision of investment-related laws, structures and procedures," the roadmap mentioned.

A provision would be implemented where credit transactions for the purchase of agro produces must be paid within 25 days maximum to ensure the appropriate price of agro produces as per the reform plan. Otherwise, a directive would be issued immediately to pay the payments with interest.

Drones to be used for seed spreading in Rasuwa forest
The Chief of Division Forest Office in Rasuwa, Shambhu Tamang, shared that the Office is preparing to use drones to spread seeds of plants, citing difficult geographical terrain.

Mechi Highway blocked again
