Marsyangdi Hydropower Project, a 69 MW capacity project in Tanahun district, is producing electricity in its full capacity lately. According to the project, heavy rainfall and speedy melting of snow had increased water flow in the river leading the hydropower to operate in full capacity. The Marsyangdi River originates from the Himalayas and weather and climate conditions play a major role in regard to its water level. Similarly, several small streams connect with the river before reaching the hydropower project in Tanahun. During monsoon, water level increases in the streams as well and gets mixed with the Marsyangdi River.
