Texas (America), May 14: The Consulate General of Nepal, Dallas, in the Texas state of the United States of America has collected 530,000 US dollars in revenue in seven months of its term.
The Consulate General was established in Dallas on July 8, 2025. However, the Consulate General had officially started providing services from September.
Deputy Consul General, Dhana Kumari Joshi, shared that the Consulate General has been providing various services including passport and consular service, issuance of one-way travel permit, facilitating in repatriation of dead bodies to Nepal, authentication of power of attorney, providing NRN cards and issuing Nepali visa.
The Consulate General mentioned that it processed 3,081 applications for passport and distributed 2,648 new passports.
Similarly, 82 one-way travel permits were issued, two passport and consular camps were organised, 36 different types of documents were authenticated , 24 NRA cards were issued as well as other services were provided during the seven months, according to the Consulate General of Nepal, Dallas.
The Consulate General has been assigned to cover the eight states—Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Colorado, Kansas and Mississippi. (RSS)
