Kathmandu, May 12: Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, paid a courtesy call on Minister for Health, Population and Water Supply, Nisha Mehta.
During the meeting held at the Ministry, Singha Durbar, on Tuesday, matters related to the historical and deep relations that Nepal and India have been enjoying since centuries as well as various dimensions of bilateral cooperation in the health sector were discussed, shared Joint-Spokesperson at the Health Ministry, Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari.
On the occasion, Minister Mehta thanked the Indian government for its continuous support in development of Nepal's health, drinking water and sanitation sectors.
Similarly, discussion was also held on the issues of strengthening national-level major health sciences academies, establishment of specialized treatment centre and support of Indian government in development of overall health infrastructures in coming days and further strengthening Nepal-India cooperation.
