Chinese Ambassador pays courtesy call on NA Vice-Chair Bhandari

Kathmandu, April 30: Ambassador of China to Nepal, Zhang Maoming, paid a courtesy call on National Assembly Vice-Chairperson Lila Kumari Bhandari. 

During the meeting held at Vice-Chairperson Bhandari's office in Singha Durbar on Thursday,  they discussed the various issues including relations between the two countries, parliamentary collaboration, mutual cooperation and contemporary issues. 

On the occasion, Vice-Chairperson Bhandari reiterated Nepal's commitment to One-China Policy. She shared that Nepal has always given high importance to the respect shown by China towards Nepal's sovereignty and independence. 

The NA Vice-Chairperson mentioned that China's support for Nepal's infrastructure development and socio-economic sector was incomparable, expressing the belief that such support would also be continued in coming days.

Stating that Nepal is being developed as an attractive destination for Chinese investors, she argued that Nepal has been actively working to make its policies business and investment-friendly to attract more Chinese investment. 

Similarly, Ambassador Zhang shared that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, friendly relations based on mutual benefits have been maintained.

Collaboration and cooperation between the two countries have been remarkably increased after the exchange of high-level visits from both countries and the relations between the two countries have reached to a new height, the Chinese Ambassador added.

Expressing happiness over holding the election peacefully in Nepal, she underlined that Nepal's development would enter a new phase along with political stability. (RSS)
