Brotherhood Football Club lifts title of Golbazar Mayor Gold Cup

Siraha, April 13: The Brotherhood Football Club, Udayapur won the trophy of the Ninth Golbazar Mayor Gold Cup Football Competition. 

In the final match played on Sunday in Golbazar of Siraha district, team Brotherhood Football Club lifted the title by defeating Sahalesh Youth Club, Siraha 2-1. 

The winning Brotherhood Football Club received Rs 444,444 in cash while the first runner up Sahalesh Youth Club got Rs 222,222 in prize.

Pujan Chaudhary of the Brotherhood Football Club was declared the best player of the tournament.

Likewise, the best goalkeeper, the best defender and the highest goal scorer were prized with cash.  

The tournament received eight teams from Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces.

The Golbazar Municipality had allocated Rs 2.5 million for the tournament, Mayor Shyam Kumar Shrestha stated. (RSS)
