Chances of rain in various parts of the country today

Kathmandu, April 9: The weather remains cloudy across the country today due to the influence of a westerly low pressure system and local winds. 

Light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is occurring in some parts of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, the hilly parts of Koshi province, as well as some places in Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, the Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated.

This afternoon, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous parts of the country including Koshi province and partly cloudy in the rest of the country. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places in the hilly and mountainous parts of the country including Koshi and some places in Madhesh province.

Tonight, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly parts of the country including Koshi province, partly cloudy in the rest of the hilly region, and mainly clear weather in the Tarai region. There is a possibility of light rain or snowfall with thunder and lightning in some places in the hilly and mountainous region of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.(RSS)
